ABOUT US

Our Journey

Having been born in the UK and later spent many years living in France, I love the culture way of life, not to mention the gastronomy and the wine. I also have a passion for cycling and love to share my knowledge with others and allow them to discover all the local possibilities.

Based in Bellegarde-du-Razès in the heart of the Languedoc region of France, it is an ideal location for running events and hosting visitors, either for a bed and breakfast room or as part of an all inclusive cycle tour.

Our local residential tours are run from our own accomodation La Maison Barthélemy.

Our mission is to provide an unrivalled experience in holidays and  a range of cycling related services

What we offer:

Our aim is your total satisfaction, that you are wowed by the quality of services delivered and that you tell your friends about it and come back to Cyclo-Culture.

Meet the Team

I’m Simon, creator of Cyclo-Culture. A keen cyclist myself, I have years of experience in multi-cultural environments.  I am qualified in the UK as a Mountain Bike ride leader and in Outdoor First Aid level 3 through the British Cycling Mountain Bike and Road Bike Leadership Programs. I am also a qualified UK Bikeability Instructor, delivering cycling instruction for children through schools in the UK.

I am a firm believer in promoting cycling for the general public and raising awareness of cycling as well as making it fun by combining it with other activities. I see the  use of E-bikes in achieving this of great benefit as it removes some of the obstacles for new riders and allows groups to different abilities to ride together.

This combined team consists of a number of global and local collaborators including qualified cycle-tour guides, instructors, tour leaders, wine experts as well as catering partners in order to take care of your every need and make your experience an excellent one.

Your Peace of Mind

As an organisation, we offer the peace of mind of knowing that you are in good hands through our qualified guides and staff. We insist that all of our staff involved in cycle tours are affiliated to the relevant bodies and leadership programs (such as British Cycling, Cycling UK, and the Insitute for Outdoor Learning) that set standards regarding leadership skills and emergency handling. We insist that they have the training and qualifications to deal with situations and emergencies as they arise for the type of ride in question. This also enables us to have the necessary insurance cover in order to run our business securely and protect your interests.

Our Privacy Policy
